Place sugar, condensed milk, salt and vanilla essence in a deep pan.

Cook on medium low heat for 4-5 minutes or until sugar has dissolved.

Then add grated coconut and butter in it.

Take it out in a bowl and divide it into two equal halves.

In one half, add few drops of green food color.

In another half, add few drops of red food color.

Grease two pans or baking dish.

Pour both mixtures in greased pan.

Cover and let it cool completely.

When set cut into pieces.
