Soak rice in water for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok or pan over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until crisp and golden.
Now add ginger garlic paste, cumin seeds, and turmeric powder. Cook and stir well.
Now add soaked rice with 1-½ glass water and 1 tsp salt and let it cook on medium flame.
