Lahori Chargha is a very famous and popular Chicken dish. This Lahori Chargha Recipe By Shireen Anwar is cooked in two different steps, first steaming and then deep frying the steamed Chicken. Serve with yogurt sauce and salad.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg Whole chicken washed and dried
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Yellow color pinch
  • 1-½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp All spice powder
  • 1 tsp + 1 tsp Chat masala
Cooking Method
  1. Firstly wash chicken. Pat dry and make deep cuts on it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the yogurt, chilli powder, egg, vinegar, ginger garlic paste, a pinch of yellow food color, salt, all spice and 1 tsp chat masala.
  3. Marinate chicken in it for 2 hours.
  4. In a deep vessel, steam the chicken on low flame for 20 minutes till water evaporates
  5. Then deep fry it until golden brown and cooked properly.
  6. Remove from the oil an sprinkle remaining chat masala over it.
  7. Delicious Lahori Chargha is ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions

Serve with salad and yogurt sauce.
