Ingredients
  • 250 gm Prawns cleaned
  • ½ tsp + ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp + ½ tsp White pepper
  • 1 Egg white
  • 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 2 tbsp + ¼ cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 cup Stock
  • 1 Onion cut into thick slices
  • 2 Spring onions cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 12 Red chili whole
  • 1 Capsicum cut into 16 pieces
Cooking Method
  1. Marinate prawns with salt, pepper, egg white, corn flour and 2 tbsp oil.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Deep fry prawns for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Now heat oil in a wok add crushed garlic.
  5. Fry for 2 minutes then add onion, capsicum and whole red chilies.
  6. Season with salt and white pepper.
  7. Add stock and fried prawns.
  8. Cook for 2 minutes then add corn flour paste to thickened the sauce.
  9. Cook another 2 minutes then turn the flame off.
  10. Take it out in a serving dish.
  11. Delicious Kongpao Prawns are ready to serve.
