Ingredients
For Pastry:
1egg yolk
8ounceplain flour
4ouncebutter
chilled water to knead dough
For Filling:
500gm mutton mince
2 tomatoescut in round slices
1cupwater
4tbsptomato ketchup
2tbspflour
2tbspvegetable oil
2tbspchopped onion
1tbspWooster sauce
1tspginger garlic paste
1tsporegano leaves
1/2tspblack pepper
1/2tspsalt
Cooking Method
To Make Tart Pastry:
In a bowl, cream butter with egg yolk.
Then add plain flour.
Beat for 4-5 minutes or until mixture resembles crumbs.
Gradually add chilled water and knead a soft dough.
Leave it to rest for 30 minutes.
Now roll the dough and cut into small rounds.Place rounds in the small tart trays.Set aside.
To Make Tart Filling:
Heat oil in deep pan or skillet on medium high heat.
Saute onion for 2 minutes then add ginger garlic paste.
Stir fry for 1 minute.
Put mutton mince into the pan.
Cook for 10-12 minutes or until all water dries up or its change color.
Now add flour, tomato ketchup, Wooster sauce and water.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until mince tender.
Remove from the heat and let it cool completely.
To Proceed:
Fill tarts with mince filling.Top each tart with a slice of tomato.
Sprinkle Oregano on the tarts.
Bake for 20 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
