Ingredients
For the cake:
  • 200 gm Dates
  • 1 tbsp Baking soda
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla essence
  • 200 gm Sugar
  • 200 gm Butter
  • 6 Eggs
  • 350 gm Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
For the Sauce:
  • 100 gm Brown sugar
  • 100 gm Butter
  • 100 gm Cream
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped
Cooking Method
To make the Cake:
  1. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, add butter and sugar and mix well.
  3. Add eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  4. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Pour the batter into a cake tin and bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool.
To make the Sauce:
  1. Combine all ingredients and cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.
  3. Pour the sauce over the cake and enjoy!.
