Shami kebab are tender patties made with chicken and chana dal (yellow split peas), and then dipped in eggs and pan-fried. These kebabs are kid-friendly, naturally gluten-free, and so wholesome!   • 500 gm Boneless chicken leg + breast
  • ½ cup Chana daal soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic heaped
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 8 Whole red pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 4 Green chilies
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cups Water
Cooking Method
  1. In a pot, add chicken meat with soaked chana daal, whole red pepper, salt, chopped onion and 2 cups water.
  2. Cook for 40 minutes on medium flame or until tender and all water dries up.
  3. Chopperize well.
  4. Now add beaten egg in it, yogurt, allspice, chopped coriander leaves and green chilies, chopped onion.
  5. Mix until well combined.
  6. Shape into kababs.
  7. Shallow fry in frying pan until golden brown.
  8. Take it out in a serving platter.
  9. Chicken shami kabab is ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions

Serve with mint chutney.
