How to make the Anda Qeema Biryani

To make the biryani, rice and meat are cooked separately and then layered together with the eggs and spices. The biryani is then cooked on dum (low heat) until the rice is cooked through and the flavors have had a chance to meld together. Goes great with fresh salad and Raita.

Ingredients
  • 500 gm Rice
  • 500 gm Beef mince
  • 4-5 Boiled eggs
  • 1 Potato cut into cubes boiled
  • ¼ cup Oil
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Green chili paste
  • 1 cup Tomato slices
  • ¼ cup Tamarind pulp
  • ¼ cup Yogurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Red chili crushed
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Whole spice powder
  • Red orange color few drops
  • ½ bunch Mint leaf
  • ½ bunch Fresh Coriander
  • 4-5 Green chili
  • few drops Screw pine essence
  • ¼ cup Fried onion
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil in a deep pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté ginger garlic paste and chili paste for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add minced beef and cook for 10-15 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.
  4. Now add all spices, yogurt, tamarind water, and half the tomatoes and cook well for another 15-20 minutes.
  5. When meat is done add potato and boiled eggs.
  6. Add green coriander, mint, green chilies and tomatoes then add boiled rice.
  7. Add screw essence, red-orange color, and mint and coriander leaves, fried onion.
  8. Let it simmer for 10 minutes or until done.
  9. Dish it out.
  10. Delicious Anda Qeema Biryani is ready to serve.
  11. Enjoy!!
