  • ½ kg Chicken boneless cut into slices
  • 100 gm Rice soaked in water
  • 100 gm Yellow lentils soaked in water
  • 1 small bunch Spinach
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Whole cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp All spice powder
  • 250 gm Yogurt
  • ¼ cup Oil
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil in a wok over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and sauté for few minutes or until golden brown.
  3. Then add ginger garlic paste and sliced chicken.
  4. Fry well for 5-7 minutes or until meat changed its color.
  5. Now add soaked yellow lentils and rice, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and yogurt.
  6. Fry well for 1 – 2 minutes.
  7. Then add salt and 2 cups of water.
  8. Cover and cook on low flame for 15 – 20 minutes until lentil and rice are tender.
  9. Now add 1 bunch of chopped spinach, simmer on low flame for 2 –3 minutes.
  10. Dish it out.
  11. Delicious Chicken Shola is ready to serve.
