  • 1/2 Egg
  • 250 gm Khoya
  • 2 cups sugar
  • Water as required
  • Kewra as required
  • Clarified butter as required
  • 1 tbsp Plain flour
  • 1 tbsp Semolina (suji)
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • Oil for frying
Cooking Method
  1. Take a deep pot, add sugar and water in it. Cook for a syrup to form. 

  2. Stir in the kewra.

  3. In a mixing bowl, beat egg and add khoya and semolina . Mix together using your hands.

  4. Knead the mixture with baking powder and clarified butter.

  5. Shape dough into small balls.

  6. Heat oil in a deep pan for medium-low heat. Deep fry the balls for 8-10 minutes or until golden in colour.

  7. Remove from the oil and dip the balls in the prepared sugar syrup. Delicious Gulab Jamun is ready to serve. 

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot.
