  • ½ kg Mutton
  • ½ cup Brown onion coarsely crushed
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste heaped
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Salt heaped
  • 1 cup Yogurt whipped
  • ½ cup Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Cream
  • 1 tsp Kewra water
  • ¼ tsp Saffron
  • ¼ tsp ground Mace
  • ½ tsp Green cardamom powder
Grind together:
  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 10 Black pepper whole
  • 1 ½ tsp Chili powder
  • 4 Cloves
Cooking Method
  1. Melt ghee in a pot or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds then add mutton, turmeric, salt and yogurt, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until all water dries up.
  3. Remove the lid and fry mutton on high flame for 10 minutes until light brown.
  4. Now, add the ground paste, stir well.
  5. Add 2 cups of water, cover and cook on low flame for 40-50 minutes or until meat is tender.
  6. Add ground mace, green cardamom and saffron with cream.
  7. Sprinkle kewra, cover and let it simmer for 10 minutes or until ghee comes on top.
  8. Dish it out.
  9. Delicious Jamaia Masjid Ka Mutton Qorma is ready to serve.
