This Mumbai Masala Burger Recipe By Chef Gulzar is really easy to make and very tasty to eat so friends do try this recipe at home.

For Burger:
  • 6 Burger Buns
  • 3 tbsp Butter for toasting buns
For Mumbai Masala:
  • 1 cup Boiled spinach
  • 100 gm carrots chopped
  • 100 gm green peas
  • 250 gm potatoes
  • 200 gm cauliflower
  • 3 to matoes Chopped
  • 2 onions Chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp All spice powder
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • Salt as required
For Garnishing:
  • 1 tsp Chat masala
  • 2-3 green chilies finely chopped
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp butter
  • Coriander for garnishing
For Raita:
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Roasted cumin
  • 1 tsp Crushed red chili
  • Salt to taste
Cooking Method
To Make Mumbai Masala:
  1. In a heavy bottomed skillet, add the grated potatoes, boiled spinach, cauliflower, tomatoes and peas .Add a little water and cook until well cooked.

  2. In a frying pan melt  butter. Add 2 grated onions, all spice powder, ginger garlic paste, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. Pour this mixture into the vegetable pot, mix well and mash with a fork.

    Cook on a very low flame. The bhaji is ready. Keep warm and set aside.

To Prepare the Buns:
  1. Slice each bun into two halves.

  2. Melt butter on the griddle and toast the buns.

To Prepare the Raita:
  1. In a small bowl, add yogurt, roasted cumin,crushed red chilies and salt. Mix until well combined.

To Assemble the Burgers:
  1. Place the bhaji in a serving platter. Add 2-3 tbsp of butter and 2-3 finely chopped green chilies and chat masala.

  2. Garnish with onions and chopped coriander.Serve with the raita and toasted buns.
