Karahi Gosht is one of the most famous traditional Food recipe in Pakistan. Its regular gram lentils and mutton curry with a spicy stir fried karahi taste. Do try it, your family will love it.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg Mutton boiled
  • 250 gm Chana daal boiled
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 1 cup Onion brown
  • 1 ½ tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1-½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 Tomatoes chopped
  • Green chilies and coriander chopped as required
  • 6 Cloves roasted and grinded
  • 2 sticks Cinnamon roasted and grinded
  • 2 Black cardamom roasted and grinded
Cooking Method
  1. Boil chana daal until just tender.
  2. Dry roast cloves, cinnamon, black cardamom and coriander seeds, grind all to a coarse powder.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and add ginger garlic paste with boiled mutton, chopped tomatoes, brown onion, chili powder, salt, turmeric.
  5. Cook on high flame for 10 minutes or until tomatoes tender.
  6. Now add 1 cup water, cover and let it simmer for until mutton is done.
  7. Now add all spice powder, roasted and grinded masala, boiled chana daal and give it a stir.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander and green chilies.
  9. Leave it on dum for 10 minutes.
  10. Turn the flame off and dish it out.
  11. Karhai Daal Gosht is ready to serve.
