Ingredients
  • ½ kg Chicken
  • 2 tbsp Yogurt
  • ½ kg Tomatoes
  • 8-10 Green chilies
  • ¾ cup Clarified butter
  • 1 tbsp Chaat masala
  • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 Coal
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1-1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ bunch Green coriander
For Rice:
  • ½ kg Rice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Mix all spice
  • few drops Screw pine essence
  • 2 pinches Yellow food color
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • 4 tbsp Clarified butter
Cooking Method
  1. Marinate chicken with yogurt.
  2. Melt butter in a pot or pan over medium heat. Add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric and ½ cup of water and cook for 15 minutes or until gravy is thickened.
  3. Now add chicken and fry well until no longer pink and tender.
  4. Add green chilies, chaat masala, lemon juice and green coriander.
  5. Give the smoke of coal and put the lid for five minute.
  6. Meanwhile, boiled rice with salt, screwpine essence and allspice powder and sieve it.
  7. Heat oil add half water and rice.
  8. Add chicken mixture and remaining rice with milk (dissolve yellow food color) mix well.
  9. Add remaining ghee on rice. Let it simmer for 10-12 minutes or until rice is fluffed and aromatic.
  10. Take it out in a serving dish.
  11. Delicious Koyla Karahi Biryani is ready to serve.

Serve with Raita or Yogurt.
