Classic Baklava Recipe By Chef Zakir, made with puff pastry, ground walnuts and drizzled with a sweet honey syrup. Crisp and tender, flaky and delicious, this baklava will surely impress. Heavenly delicious!!

Ingredients
  • 200 gm Puff pastry
  • 200 gm Walnuts
  • 200 ml Sugar or golden syrup
  • 1 Egg
Cooking Method
  1. Preheat oven at 200 degree C.
  2. Add sugar syrup to 200 gm crushed walnuts and mix together.
  3. Roll puff pastry with a rolling pin.
  4. Grease a 1-inch deep baking pan with butter.
  5. Place half pastry dough in the pan.
  6. Top with sugar glazed walnuts and then place remaining puff pastry in the pan.
  7. Brush with a beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the pre-heated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  9. When the dough turns golden brown, take out of oven and top with golden syrup.
  10. Cut baked Baklava in the desired shape and transfer into a serving platter.
