Ingredients
  • 500 gm Chicken
  • 3 cups Cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 2-3 Green chilies slit
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic
  • 1 tbsp All spice powder
  • 1/2 cup golden Onions
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 cups Tomato chopped
  • 1 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp All spice powder
  • ½ tsp Dried fenugreek leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 8-9 Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup Browned Onions
  • 3-4 tbsp Clarified butter
  • 2 tsp Screwpine water
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil and butter in a non-stick pan.
  2. Add green chilies, Garam masala and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add tomato and mix well.
  5. Add chili powder, mix, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon garam masala powder, dried fenugreek leaves and salt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add chicken pieces and mix well.
  8. Add cream and mix well.
  9. Spread rice over the chicken, top with some coriander leaves, mint leaves, remaining garam masala powder and half the browned onions.
  10. Spread the remaining rice, add remaining browned onions.
  11. Drizzle ghee and screw pine water.
  12. Cover and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  13. Butter Chicken Biryani is ready to serve.
  14. Serve hot.
