Paratha is a flat bread that is popular in Pakistan as breakfast item but you can serve it in lunch as well. The layered paratha with crispy, flakey yet soft texture that goes perfect with any curry dish or as a breakfast with pickle. Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup water or as required
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon castor sugar
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • Desi Ghee or butter for frying
For Filling:
  • 4 tablespoon melted ghee or butter
  • 4 tablespoon flour
  • 1 egg white
Cooking Method
  1. Sieve flour, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Make a hollow in center and add water and knead a soft dough.
  3. Apply some oil and cover with a wet napkin. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

  4. Now in a small bowl, mix together the filling ingredients.

  5. Now make 8 balls from the dough.
  6. Roll a ball and spread prepared filling over it.
  7. Re-roll and form into a square.
  8. Then again into a ball, apply oil on each ball (paera), cover again. Leave it for 30 minutes.

  9. Make thin parathas and make a hole in center. Fry paratha’s in hot ghee until golden from both sides.Crispy Paratha is ready to serve.

Serving Suggestions

Enjoy with raita or achar or any curry.
