  • 1 kg Chicken 4 pieces
  • 1 tsp Roasted ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp Crushed pomegranate seeds
  • 1 tbsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 4 tbsp Lime juice
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 1 tsp All spice powder
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds
  • ½ cup Yogurt
  • 2 Green chilies
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Tomato
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic
  • 4 tbsp Beet root water
Cooking Method
  1. In a bowl, add yogurt, roasted ground cumin, ground pomegranate seeds, chaat masala, red chili powder, salt, black pepper powder, oil, lime juice, all spice powder, celery powder, ginger garlic and beet root water.
  2. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, make cuts on the chicken.
  4. Pour yogurt mixture over the chicken pieces. Toss to coat evenly.
  5. Marinate for 1 hour.
  6. Once it is well marinated, heat oil in a wok and and cook the chicken for at least 20 minutes, until the water dries.
  7. Now transfer the chicken on a baking tray, add tomatoes and onions on the side of the tray and grill it for 10 minutes.
  8. Afghani Tandoori Chicken is ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with naan and raita.
