Ingredients
  • 500 gm boneless chicken cut into cubes
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 egg
  • 1 kashmiri red chili soaked and ground
  • 4 button red chili coarsely chopped
  • 4 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Oil for deep frying
Cooking Method
  1. In a bowl, combine together corn flour, salt, white pepper, ground Kashmir chili and egg.
  2. Marinate chicken in this mixture for 30 minutes.
  3. Now deep fry chicken cubes for 10 minutes or until light golden.
  4. Heat oil in a deep wok.
  5. Fry ginger and garlic for 1 minute then add red chilies, chili sauce, fried chicken cubes and chicken stock.
  6. Bring to a boil then add sugar and vinegar.
  7. Add cornflour paste and cook for 2-3 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
  8. Garnish with spring onions.
  9. Chicken Hong Kong is ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions

Serve with Boiled Rice.
